Showcasing model behavior

Not to be outdone by a bevy of Greenspring beauties who raised more than $40,000 last year with their Ladies of Greenspring calendar, 15 equally ambitious Greenspring men will don little more than their smiles in the soon-to-be-released 2009 Hunks of Greenspring calendar.

Helping those in need
Answering the challenge put forth by the Greenspring calendar lady models, the hunks calendar will benefit the community’s Benevolent Care Fund. The fund supports community members who, despite careful planning, outlive their financial resources. More importantly, it enables residents to remain at Greenspring with the knowledge that they always receive the service and care they deserve.

The project itself has been a bit mysterious. Much like the anonymity that surrounded last year’s calendar, the men, who range in age from 66 to 92, wish to remain nameless until the calendar is available.

The exception is Jim Coulter, the first hunk to be photographed. Coulter’s photo is the official promotional shot for the calendar.

“On behalf of all of the hunks, we are glad to help such a good cause,” Coulter says. “Nobody twisted my arm or coaxed me into it. If the lovely ladies from last year were brave enough to do it, how could we turn it down?”

Coulter, a self-described wine connoisseur, is April’s hunk, toasting the camera with a glass of red wine. The other 11 months feature models with a variety of settings and props.

The big reveal
To celebrate the release of the much-anticipated calendar, the hunks will finally reveal their identities, sign autographs, and join fellow community members for a surprise movie event in December. Everyone purchasing calendars will be invited.
