What do you think of these two Purpose Prize winners?  Were you familiar with their work before reading the article?  Did you realize that African-American women are dying at rates greater than any other group of women?

After reading The Erickson Tribute , realized that your book
helped me in many ways. My daughter in law begain to have
problems and needed help. So after talking to my son what I
was able to tell him to take her to the right doctor and get help.
I will call you when I find your number.Iam the person that you met
at the gas station. Hope I am not to old to get help, because I am
now (75).
Sincerely

Dr. Gaston and Dr. Porter:

Congratulations on another great achievement.  I  read about your receiving this award in the Washington Post Sunday magazine, and again in the Erickson Tribune.  You ladies have so much to offer.  The information that you shared on several occasions with Creative Awareness for Black Women will never beforgotten.
