Tip: Gmaps Pedometer

Posted on Wednesday, January 18, 2006

Are you a walker, jogger, or biker? If you are interested in seeing how far you’ve gone you could try one of those fussy, expensive digital pedometers? But, now you don’t have to—let Google do all the work!

Gmaps Pedometer is an ingenious website that uses Google Maps to calculate exactly how far you traveled. Simply zoom in to your neighborhood, double-click points on your path to show where you’ve been, and let the website calculate how far you’ve traveled. You can also calculate calories burned and your route can be bookmarked.
