Fruits and veggies may fight cancer, arthritis, and cholesterol

Just like your mother told you, an apple a day could keep the doctor away. Besides having antioxidants that may fight cancer, a group of chemicals found in apples may protect the brain from the type of damage that triggers such diseases as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, according to two studies from Cornell University food scientists.
