Share your thoughts and opinions of the Red Hat Society. Is it a positive force in society's view of aging, or simply a fanciful club?

I am not a member but I see them out from time to time and they really look like a great bunch of ladies!! I thought the outfits we're a bit silly at first but no I think they really mirror their idea of just having fun.

I went to one meeting and thought the whole thing was silly and ridiculous.  I would not caught dead wearing one of those hats!!!

  Suzze, I believe the point is to be silly and ridiculous!  I'm not a member (yet) but if I do become one, I'm really looking forward to the hats and outfits!  Wearing them will be a reminder of why the club exists...too have fun.

PS This idea of discussions on your web site is very interesting. It will be a favorite feature of many I'm sure.

What's the point?Do they do any good works or just go out to lunch and what do they do with the dues? I think it's ridiculous!

I think you are missing the whole point of Red Hats!!As Queen, if you do not like the red hats  no one is asking you to wear  It .RED HAT IS NOT FOR EVERY ONE ONLY THOSES OVER FIFTY WHO LIKE TO HAVE A FRIEND  WITH OUT THE TIES!!

We have no rules, collect very little dues if any , we have done our chariety goods works and now time for us to have fun with out any ties to rules!!
