Do you feel that Pop Benedict's recent trip to Turkey was a positive step forward in mending fences between Christianity and Islam?

I hope the strong impression was made that the Pope came in peace, in the name of the Prince of Peace. Islam, which arose in a climate of assassinations and family rivalries and whose converts were forced at the point of a sword, could never be a religion of peace, judging from the continuing sectarian bloodshed and honor killings. Merely a continuation of the legacy. Now if the average Muslim on the sidelines would stand up and loudly protest, things might change. (Lord, may this come to be, and peace as well. Amen)
