I enjoyed reading about the Charlestown retirement center in the March 2008 issue of the Erickson Tribune, and assumed it might be located in St. Charles Missouri, which is a rapidly growing suburb of St. Louis. I read through the article several times and discovered to my surprise that the author never gives any clue about the location of the community. I finally discovered through google that it is located in Maryland near Baltimore.
When I started on a student newspaper many years ago, we were taught that the opening of an article should tell who, where what and why--a rule which is increasingly neglected. It is good to think lofty spiritual thoughts, but it is also good to know where our feet are on the ground.
