Do you know anybody that suffers from Alzheimer's or other forms of dimentia?  What do you think of the recent study showing that drugs used to treat Alzheimer's can be risky?  Can you think of any alternative methods for Alzheimer's patients?

I think that it is useful for the patient to do as many mentally active activities as possible. This would include memory games, board games, classes such as cooking classes and lectures--anything that keeps them thinking. This would not eliminate Alzherimer's, but it would slow the process.
