Did you start a new career after retiring?  What is it that you do?  Would you recommend a post-retirement career to others?

I retired in February 2005. I am not one to sit and wait for the end of my life to happen so I started putting together an Antique and Collectibles Shop across town. It has been a lot of fun although not a big money-maker. I have had the interest for years and my home has several different collections around like old perfume bottles, Limoge Porcelain, and Cobalt glass bottles.

I highly recommend newly retired folks to get off the couch and go back to work doing something you really enjoy. Life just gets better and better and you feel younger and younger the more you are involved in things outside yourself.

My shop is called Indispensible Things and it is full of memories of our past from the 1930's to the 1970's. If you are ever in Portland, OR drop by!
