How do you feel about reaching this milestone?  What do you think of the environmental implications that come along with a growing population (sprawl, pollution, etc.)?  Do you feel like the U.S. is handling the increase in population as well, or better, as other heavily-population countries (Japan, China, etc.)?

the U.S. has plenty of room to grow, just not sure about the resources and infastructure to handle it!
Water shortages in Denver, traffic problems on the east coast...growth isn't bad, as long as there is a plan. Planned growth is the best thing we can do these days to avoid problems in the future...
