Moving into a new home is exciting. Moving out of the old place can be a real hassle— finding a real estate agent, getting the property in shape, finding a mover, and boxing up belongings.

Now Erickson Retirement Communities is making it even easier to move into Windsor Run with its new initiative, Erickson Realty & Moving Services.

‘A little reassurance’
“The prospect of moving can seem daunting,” says Lydia Hill, retirement counselor at Windsor Run. “It can be a real stumbling block for some people who are considering moving into a retirement community. They need a little reassurance at this time that they are making the right real estate decision. We are putting the pieces in place to help them attain the retirement lifestyle they want without having to worry about finances and moving logistics.”

The program offers its clients full access to a team of personal moving  consultants, retirement counselors, and a comprehensive network of resources. Those resources include specially selected real estate agents, downsizers, stagers, contractors, and movers who specialize in making moves go smoothly.

How it works
First, the program helps retirees establish the proper sales price for their homes. Marketing assistance is also provided, as are logistical services related to moving/downsizing.

Then the Erickson Realty & Moving Services team prepares a client’s property to obtain the highest sale price within each market. It also provides heightened exposure of the property and reduced days of market time.

And finally the team helps select a moving company and coordinate the move.
