Before moving to Wind Crest about 14 months ago, Elise Murphy Rowe struggled to lift a cup of coffee with her right arm after tearing her rotator cuff. This past summer she celebrated completing a half triathlon at Wind Crest—by herself.

Gambling adventures and downtown shows are among the many bus trips Wind Crest’s transportation department organizes each month. And residents say the convenience of letting someone else drive—coupled with the benefit of traveling with a busload of friends and neighbors—is well worth the affordable cost, which typically covers both gas and any admission fees.

This summer Wind Crest celebrated the community’s Benevolent Care Fund and its contributors through the first-annual Benevolent Care Fund Gala.

Wind Crest has become a hot spot for local high school teens—but don’t worry, they’re not making any trouble. They’re getting a leg up on their futures in the restaurant industry.
