More than 160 visitors attended Wind Crest’s Holiday Open House in spite of snow on Dec. 9. Guests ranged from people seeing the community for the first time to those already signed up to move in.
Jim and Emily Murphy say they were thrilled when they received their invitation: “We’ve been wanting to see Wind Crest for some time. We live close by, and we watched it go up from the restaurant across the street.”
While enjoying a complete spread of hors d’oeuvres and desserts, visitors got to see everything from amenities like the medical center and restaurants to countless resident-run activities.
“This place is first-class all the way,” said Jim Murphy. “The only other time I went first-class like this was when I married my wife.”
As a delegate to the Highlands Ranch Community Association Board, Ron Brown learned about the community a bit differently: “I was there for some of the initial presentations they made to the New Development Committee,” he says. As a result, he and his wife, Margie, wasted no time joining the Priority List (which saved their spot in line for an apartment home).
“It’s better to get on that list sooner than later, so you can enjoy everything there is to offer while you’re healthy and energetic,” Margie Brown says. The couple plans to move to Wind Crest in the spring.
