People reserving a future home at Wind Crest join the community’s Priority List because they say it enables hem to select from several home décor options in future buildings.

This added perk allowed Al and Shirley Hawkins to choose from an array of standard options and upgrades for their apartment in Wind Crest’s third building, Evergreen Crossing, which is set for a spring 2008 opening.

Al Hawkins appreciated the opportunity to give their future home a custom flair.

“It’s nice to be able to personalize these selections and make the apartment truly ours,” he says.

“It’s easy to create a stunning apartment by selecting exclusively from the list of no-cost standard options,” says Beth Brandenburg, move-in coordinator at Wind Crest. A variety of quality standard choices are available for incoming residents to chose from.

“And there’s absolutely no pressure to upgrade to the next level, which makes the selection process even more pleasant,” she adds.

Wind Crest’s standard apartment décor selections— available at no added cost— include:

• Two kitchen cabinet choices

• About 12 Formica countertop choices

• Several ceramic tile flooring options for kitchen and bath

• Numerous carpet colors

Upgrade options include:

• Four kitchen cabinet choices (including maple and cherry)

• A number of granite and Corian countertops

• Porcelain tile, hardwood, and laminate flooring options for kitchen and bath

• Two levels of upgraded carpet

Though some might expect the selection process to be daunting, Brandenburg says it’s really quite easy—and a lot of fun.

“I lay out all of the options for each incoming member and walk them through every step, helping to coordinate their choices along the way,” she says. “You don’t have to be a designer to make your apartment look like a model home. Anyone can do it.”

Wind Crest’s Custom Interiors staff can carry out special orders—from building custom book shelves to kitchen redesigns to custom paint and window coverings.

Appliances included
Beyond apartment décor options for Priority List members who reserve in time, every Wind Crest home also includes all appliances—a full-size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and full-capacity stackable washer and dryer.

If an appliance fails, a qualified Wind Crest maintenance technician will arrive promptly to repair it. “Our residents never have to worry about paying for maintenance or repairs,” Brandenburg says.

Jason Atwell, marketing director at Wind Crest, says that with nearly 650 members on the Priority List and more  joining every day, the community may consider opening more buildings—but they don’t know when.

Growing community
“Joining the Priority List now is the only way people can secure their place in line and take advantage of the home décor selection perk if and when more buildings are announced in the future,” Atwell says.
