The air’s getting crisp and the leaves are falling. That means it’s time to get out and enjoy some fall fun!
Here are a few area activities slated for this month:
• Corn maze at Denver Botanic Gardens
at Chatfield through Oct. 28. Navigate this towering 8.5-acre corn maze and savor goodies like corn on the cob and caramel apples. $7 for seniors, $6 for children 3–15. • Rock Bottom Brewery beer tasting
Oct. 6 at the Recreation Center at Eastridge. 9568 S. University Blvd. in Highlands Ranch. Sample numerous beers and try Rock Bottom’s signature Triple Chocolate Stout Cheesecake. • Chatfield Pumpkin Festival at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Oct. 13–14. Thousands of pumpkins are yours for the picking! Enjoy other children’s activities and vendors, too. $5 for adults, $3 for children. 8500 Deer Creek Canyon Road in Littleton.
• Haunted hayride
Oct. 26–28 at Stockton’s Plum Stables. Rumble down a “haunted” trail at night. Pony rides and a cozy fire with roasted marshmallows add to the family fun. Event begins at 5:30 p.m. Hayrides run every half hour from 6–8:30 p.m. Adults $11, children $8, (2 and under free). 7479 W. Titan Road in Littleton. Call 303-791-1966 for more information.
• Trick-or-Treat Street Oct. 27 at the Recreation Center at Eastridge. Local businesses will provide treats for little goblins 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Also enjoy a pumpkin patch and inflatable rides. $1 per trick-or-treater. Group transportation to events like these is available to Wind Crest community members.
