Relocate-America (www.relocate-america.com) recently ranked Highlands Ranch among the top 100 places to live in the United States.
According to a Douglas County spokesperson, Highlands Ranch was included among Relocate-America’s “Top 100 Places to Live” due in part to its exceptional views, diverse history, outdoor amenities (including parks, outdoor trails, and nearby Chatfield Reservoir), transportation access, and excellent school district.
Every year, Relocate-America accepts nominations for U.S. cities and towns considered to be a great place to live. This was the 10th year that this online relocation directory has compiled its “Top 100” list.
Nominating parties must include their own reasons why they feel their city should make the list. The nominations, along with key data regarding education, employment, economy, crime, parks, recreation, and housing are reviewed, rated, and judged by Relocate- America’s editorial team.
“We are proud of the 22 parks, 70 miles of trails, four outstanding recreation centers, and the thousands of acres of natural open space that offer our residents a fun, active, and healthy lifestyle for their families,” says Terry Nolan, general manager of the Highlands Ranch Metro Districts.
Two other Colorado cities, Estes Park and Fort Collins, also made the list.
