With the reservation process for Blue Spruce Ridge, the second residence building at Wind Crest well underway, the apartment home models in most demand are two bedrooms with one and a half bath, community officials report.
“It’s probably because of their versatility,” Molly Thorne-Dhieux, retirement counselor for the Highlands Ranch community said. Thorne-Dhieux helps the community’s Priority List members select the home that best fits their lifestyle and financial needs. “Those models seem to be the right fit for a lot of people. It’s good for those who want to downsize, but still have plenty of room to entertain. And they are moderately priced, which doesn’t hurt!”
Wind Crest’s Fenton model offers two bedrooms, one and a half baths, and a generous living area.
Priority List member Bill Funk reserved the model because of the amount of options the extra bedroom gave him. “I decided to get the two bedroom model for the space. It looks really good for entertaining. It should more than meet my needs.” He continued, “I went with it because I could always use the room for a den or office for all of my papers or a place for visitors to stay the night.”
A private sanctuary
Even with visitors, there’s still a place to relax. In the Fenton, the master bedroom suite is a resident’s home away from home, perfect for unwinding after a long day hiking on the nearby Highline Canal. It also has its very own large, walk-in closet for any size wardrobe. Then, off to the side is the resident’s private bathroom. The large picture window and an abundance of daylight are popular draws to the Fenton as well.
