Five Fun Activities Both You and Your Grandchildren Can Enjoy

It’s not always easy to spend as much time as you’d like with your grandchildren. On the one afternoon you’re free, they have an out of town soccer match. On the weekend they’re home from college, you’ve already scheduled a trip with your best friend.

With families busier and more mobile than ever before, finding time for your grandchildren can be a real challenge, as can finding activities that you all enjoy.

Fortunately, Wind Crest will make entertaining the younger generation easier than ever. Whether your visitors are the elementaryschool set or teenagers, you’ll find plenty of fun for everyone.

Here are just a few of the activities that Wind Crest grandparents and their grandchildren can enjoy once the Town Center Clubhouse opens:

1. Dive in at the Aquatics Center.
Your young guests are welcome to splash around in the enclosed, all-season swimming pool when there’s not an exercise class or designated lap swim underway. Challenge that young swimmer to a race, or the athlete in the family to a game of water volleyball.

2. Enjoy a meal at one of two restaurants.
The restaurants at Wind Crest will be a fun treat for visiting grandchildren and extremely convenient and easy for you. Dig into a casual lunch at the Fly’n B Bistro, where even the pickiest eater will find something to tempt their taste buds.

Or, show off the next generation to your friends over a cozy dinner in the Fireside restaurant.

3. Shoot some pool or play a game of cards.
Challenge the family hustler to some friendly competition with a game of pocket billiards. Or teach that budding card shark a few of your old tricks at a favorite card game. If you’re feeling generous, you might even let them win a hand or two.

4. Pamper your little Miss at the day spa.
Make your granddaughter’s day by calling ahead for an appointment at the hair salon and day spa. From the latest hairstyles, to manicures, pedicures, or even a massage, it’s an easy way for all the girls to put some beauty in their day.

5. Practice on the putting green.
Even Tiger Woods has to practice, and Wind Crest can make it easy with the multi-hole putting green that will be just a short outdoor walk from the Town Center Clubhouse. It will be an ideal afternoon activity for that high schooler who just made the golf team to get some pointers from a seasoned veteran.

And Home Sweet Home
After all these activities, it will be time to go home and relax. Pull out some paper and crayons, or put on a movie and pop some popcorn. Many of our apartment homes feature guest bedrooms, so invite the grandchildren to spend the night, and give their Mom and Dad a night on the town.

Time Well Spent
While there’s never enough time to spend with those you love, life at Wind Crest will make it easier, and more entertaining.

A Wind Crest Information Kit will help you find out how to put more quality in the time you spend with the young ones in your family. Do your research—decide if Wind Crest is the right option for you. You and your family will be glad you took the time!
