Cottonwood Court Apartment Homes Sold to Priority List Members

By Carrie Anne Deters
THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE

Within three months, Wind Crest Priority List members managed to reserve nearly every apartment home in Cottonwood Court. The first residence building at Wind Crest is almost entirely sold out, other than the model units that will be furnished to show. The Welcome Center staff didn’t even make a public announcement about Cottonwood Court.

Those who joined the Priority List made a wise decision—their exclusive status on the list enabled them to state their apartment home preferences and reserve a home at Wind Crest before many others. Retirement Counselor Molly Thorne- Dhieux says, “The best way to ensure your future at Wind Crest is to join the Priority List—remember over 40 people join each month. For every person who joins before you, the longer your wait for your preferred apartment home will be.”

Current Development
Every Priority List member that passes by the Welcome Center notices something new or considerable construction progress when they visit. Recently, Mike Magle, the Wind Crest development director, offered a construction update. “The main road into the community is being paved soon, so we can continue to bring the steel onsite and finish erecting the exterior walls.”

And the Walls Go Up
From now until the first of the new year, you should be able to drive by Wind Crest and see something new happening every day. According to Magle, “Over the next two months, the residents will be able to watch the steel go up for the Town Center Clubhouse and see us put the roof on.” The exterior walls will also be completed by the first of the year, and indoors the Wind Crest construction team will be busy preparing the building for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing fixtures.

On the Road Home
Paving is another daily element of construction, but it’s necessary and essential to the development of Wind Crest. The roads near Cottonwood Court are on schedule to be paved by the first of January. This is a major development because it makes the process of moving steel and other building materials possible as Cottonwood Court is con- structed. The Highlands Ranch Metro District is also working to install Plaza Drive which will give the development team access to Wind Crest from Lucent Boulevard.

Magle also says, “Weather permitting, landscaping will begin in March so the campus will look renewed and beautiful. The landscaping walls, windmill, and other elements are receiving final touches too! Another important element that Magle noted is that the utility installations for Cottonwood Court are almost 75 percent complete. This news is most exciting to the many Priority List members who have chosen Wind Crest as their future home.

Already Reserved
Ed
and Joan Wagner joined the Priority List as soon as they found out about Wind Crest. It didn’t take much convincing—Joan already knew Molly Thorne- Dhieux, the retirement counselor at Wind Crest. When asking why they joined the Priority List, the Wagners said, “We joined the Priority List because Wind Crest is the right fit for us and we wanted to have the best possible choice. . . the choice of the home that we thought would best suit us.” They just reserved their preferred apartment home, too—a twobedroom Fairmont with a great view. At Wind Crest there are a number of beautiful views from the apartment homes—future residents will enjoy seeing the mountains, the Highline Canal, Chatfield State Park, the Denver skyline, and many beautifully landscaped areas from their windows.

Valuable Community
Many of the Priority List members at Wind Crest believe that this new community will be a great value for their money. Ed Wagner says, “All of our bills, except the telephone, will be paid for each month. I won’t have to worry so much. It will be wonderful.”

The Wagners are mostly excited about having more free time, as Joan says, “I’m looking forward to having time for myself to do the things I like to do.”

More Carefree Time
Wind Crest will afford every resident more free time. More than one Tribune reader will agree with Joan when she says, “Unfortunately, I discovered that as I get older it takes me longer to do the things I used to do in a lot less time. It seems to take longer to get all my housework done and keep up with the washing and the ironing, and the shopping. I look forward to not having to do a lot of that.”

Joan is also looking forward to having dinner prepared for her. She says, “we’ll be getting one of our meals every day in those lovely restaurants. I’m really looking forward to that, too, because I love to cook but I also love to go out and be pampered, and I think that’s going to be happening.”

Now’s the Time
At Wind Crest you’ll get pampered, spend less time worrying, and more time doing what you love to do rather than what you have to do. Joining the Priority List might be the key to the future you’re looking for—discover Wind Crest before it’s too late! Take this opportunity to watch your future come to life, as the Wagners do every day.
