The Denver area is full of opportunities and fun for summertime enthusiasts of all ages. Simply enjoy being outdoors or keep yourself busy with warm-weather fun. You might even find time for a day trip or two.
Freedom to Have Fun
Living at Wind Crest and taking advantage of the full-service, maintenancefree lifestyle ensures you’ll have plenty of time to relax and have fun next summer when Wind Crest opens.
Meet a friend for breakfast then head out to Chatfield State Park or the Highline Canal Trail for an afternoon of hiking or biking. Spend the weekend on Chatfield Reservoir boating or sailing with friends or laze away a Sunday while fishing or reading a book on the lake shore.
Admire the flowers at Denver Botanic Gardens or Hudson Gardens or arrive in the evening hours for a concert. This summer’s concert series at Denver Botanic Gardens will feature artists like Etta James, Chris Botti, B.B. King, and Judy Collins.
Make a stop for fresh produce and other wares at one of the many Farmers Markets in the area. On Sundays starting June 18, stop by the Highlands Ranch Town Center or visit the Littleton market on Wednesdays beginning June 21.
If you want a change of scenery, day trips will be easy to organize from Wind Crest’s great location, too.
Get Away for the Day
Would you rather get away for the day? Tour the historical mines and buildings in Cripple Creek or do a little gambling. Head to Estes Park where you can hike or horseback in the Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest. Spend the day canoeing, kayaking, or sight-seeing in these scenic mountain towns.
For the Family
Do you have relatives visiting or are the grandkids staying with you for the week?
