The Promise of Pleasant Weather Means Time for Outdoor Fun

THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
A report from the U.S. Surgeon General’s Office tells us once again that regular exercise can increase strength and improve balance, reduce the risk of falling, and help those who are 62-plus maintain their independent lifestyle.
Yet in suburban neighborhoods, divided by an endless maze of asphalt streets, available space to exercise is hardly plentiful or enticing. While driving to the park or a local gym, traffic impedes our progress and discourages us from venturing out.
One With Nature
Exercising or enjoying the outdoors isn’t difficult at Wind Crest. A carefully devised plan provides a network of healthy opportunities for outdoor activities. Wind Crest offers many reasons to anticipate sunny days and warmer weather.
Throughout the property, beautifully maintained trails will wind through tastefully landscaped grounds.
Erickson’s commitment to the environment and respect for the beauty of nature mandates that each of its communities embrace the outdoors and seek harmony with natural surroundings. Stately cottonwoods, evergreens, and ash trees grace the property and flank the Highline Canal, offering beautiful scenery and a shaded activity trail for walking or biking.
The landscape architects designed the plan around picturesque mountain views, existing cottonwoods and pines offering spots of instant shade. Some trees will be transplanted from the on-site tree nursery which was created to preserve the mature, stately trees on the property.
Occupied Outdoors
Benches will be scattered throughout the community in gardens and pleasantareas offering places for reading, contemplation, or friendly conversation.
