Getting to Wind Crest Just Got a Little Bit Easier

Construction is in progress at Wind Crest

Traffic on County Line Road is moving more smoothly now. The external road construction and utility work for Wind Crest is finally finished.  While local commuters may be relieved, the Development team carries on—hard at work.  They’re diligently preparing the Wind Crest site for the early stages of building.

Gearing Up for Winter Projects

Winter has arrived with its typical blustery chill, but that’s not slowing progress at Wind Crest.  The Wind Crest development team is ready to get dirty and that’s certainly what they’ll be doing this month as they move earth from the east side of the property to the west. Earth-movers and bulldozers are also preparing the way for the egress road that will provide the route for emergency vehicles when they require access to Wind Crest.

Making Space to Build

Although it may seem a bit strange to move dirt, it’s necessary to make space for the foundations of the Town Center Clubhouse and its adjoining resident building.  The development team is so anxious to get this project started that they are planning to pour the cement for both foundations during January and February, says Mike Magle, director of development for Wind Crest.

Appreciate Natural Beauty

Both the Town Center Clubhouse and the residence building will be constructed with premium materials that reflect the natural environment of the greater Denver area.  “In all building efforts, we’ll try to mirror and preserve the natural surroundings to the best of our abilities, even using materials that are produced locally,” says Mike Magle.

The Wind Crest development team currently works with certified arborist, Steven Day, to preserve many of the full-grown trees on the property that will need to be relocated.  According to Mike Magle, “The deep root nursery we’ve created is my own personal project. It’s important that we relocate these trees to stand in view of the residence building.”  Read more about the deep root nursery in upcoming editions of the Erickson Tribune.
