Every year, experts at Money magazine rank the 100 Best Cities to Live. This year, Westminster made it into the top 50.
For 2008, the magazine chose to look at cities with populations between 50,000 and 300,000. It looked at things like job growth, cost of living, housing affordability, schools, arts and leisure options, medical care, and other quality of life criteria. Westminster was ranked number 44 in the top 100.
According to Money, one of the factors that got Westminster noticed is its proximity to both Denver and Boulder, which puts residents within easy reach of regional businesses and entertainment. “But there sure is a lot to do right here in town, [with] movie theaters, recreation centers, golf courses, parks, hiking trails, and hundreds of restaurants and retail stores,” the article noted.
