Jim and Myra Lisbeth are looking forward to their future at Tallgrass Creek, even though they are at least a decade away from moving in.

The Lisbeths, who live in Vienna, Va., and are in their early 50s, are on the Priority List for Tallgrass Creek.

“We’re very proactive, and we plan our life and our future,” says Jim Lisbeth. “There’s no reason to wait. It’s such a good deal. We figured why don’t we just get on the Priority List. We’re happy we did. I’m excited. A week doesn’t go by that I don’t talk to someone about Tallgrass Creek. We see it as an adventure.”

The Lisbeths know something about Erickson. Jim Lisbeth’s parents, Larry and Nita Lisbeth, live at Greenspring in Springfield, Va., another Erickson  community like Tallgrass Creek. All of the Lisbeths live near Washington, D.C.

“They had comparison shopped by the time they moved into Greenspring,” Jim Lisbeth says. “They have such a wonderful life. It’s amazing the amount of amenities that Erickson provides for a better quality of life.”

Larry and Nita Lisbeth have lived in Greenspring for three and a half years. The community has been a perfect choice for them, they say, and they are pleased  that their son and his wife are looking to a future at an Erickson community.

“The people are the most important thing here,” Larry Lisbeth says. “We’re all  in the same age bracket, and we enjoy each other a lot.”

Cyber love
Jim and Myra Lisbeth, who met online, married nearly two years ago. He works as an electronics purchasing specialist in the division of intelligence counter measures for Raytheon. Myra Lisbeth is a lawyer in Washington, D.C. They have an in-home gym and enjoy exercising and jogging together.

“We’re still honeymooners,” Jim Lisbeth says. “It’s exciting planning a future together. This is not the norm for people our age to make this sort of commitment. We’re savvy and we know a good thing.”

The Lisbeths have four children, including two who are still teenagers.

Family ties
They are interested in living in Tallgrass Creek because it is close to Myra Lisbeth’s family in Columbia, Mo. “She misses her family,” Jim Lisbeth says. “She wanted to be back home with family later in life. I figured I owed it to her.”

Other family members have also discussed moving to Tallgrass Creek so they can spend their retirement together.

“Whether they are a single individual or a couple this is a standard of living with other people your age,” Jim Lisbeth says. “It’s a way to continue to stay healthy emotionally and spiritually, create new interests, and have new adventures.”
