Dining choices at Tallgrass Creek in Overland Park will revolve around good food shared with good friends at convenient locations in the Audubon Clubhouse.
Sit back and relax
Stop in at the Audubon Marketplace. There you will find pastries and “grab-and-go” sandwiches. It’s a perfect pit stop for a busy day or offers the chance to kick back in a casual atmosphere.
“Have a cup of coffee, a croissant, and read the paper,” says Bill Schwingen, director of dining services at Tallgrass Creek. “The marketplace, located on the first floor of the clubhouse, is comparable to a corner market,” Schwingen says. “And just like many community gathering spots, it will offer a chance to chat, relax, and get a bite to eat.”
Burgers and more
Every community needs a good burger joint, and Tallgrass Creek’s version will be the Sunflower Bistro. Located on the second level of the clubhouse and open for lunch, it will have burgers, salads, soups, and sandwiches. The full menu is currently being developed, Schwingen says.
More formal fare
“The main dining area at Tallgrass Creek will be the Blue Sky restaurant with seating for 250 people,” Schwingen says. “No reservations are needed for this restaurant open for the evening meal. There will also be a private dining room available for special events.”
Blue Sky entrées will include prime rib, roasted pork loin, and grilled sesame salmon. But those are just a few of the choices offered. On a rotating cycle, there will be three featured entrées each evening. The variety of menu items will expand as needed, Schwingen says.
Healthy choices, regional flair
The menu will also include healthy choices, like vegetable stir-fry and turkey medallions with low-fat sauce.
“Also featured will be entrées with a regional flair, including barbecue and catfish,” Schwingen says.
