THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
For Jim Bikson, the Priority List was a good place to be, but taking the step to reserve his apartment home at Tallgrass Creek was even better.
“The one thing I stress to my kids is that you never lie to the person in the mirror,” he says. “I have a tendency to be a hermit. I decided if I stayed in my house I would be a couch potato and that’s not good. I made the decision that Tallgrass Creek is the place I wanted to be. I’ll be around people, and that’s what I need.”
Pick of apartments
Bikson, who lives in Overland Park, first chose to be a Priority List member but then decided to go ahead and reserve his apartment in the Bluebird Crossing residence building. He chose a one bedroom on the ground floor and has already picked out his amenities.
He shopped around before deciding on Tallgrass Creek. “With Tallgrass Creek we’re all coming in together, we’re all about the same age, and we’re all healthy,” Bikson says.
For others considering a move to Tallgrass Creek, becoming a member of the Priority List may be the best option.
Priority List offers security
For those considering a move to Tallgrass Creek, the Priority List is the best way to secure your place in line and ensure that you will have the option of moving in the time frame that best meets your needs,” says Jane McIntire, retirement counselor at Tallgrass Creek. “The better positioning you have on the Priority List, the better chance you will have of reserving your desired floor plan and exposure.”
Joining the Priority List requires a $1,000 fully refundable deposit, along with a $150 per person nonrefundable processing fee, McIntire says. When an apartment is reserved, the $1,000 is applied toward its cost.
“It is an extremely low-risk way of planning for your future!” she says.
