Interest in new community peaks

Tallgrass Creek, a new campus-style community being built in Overland Park, is seeing a spike in interest.
The community’s first building, Bluebird Crossing is 65% reserved, Jane McIntire, retirement counselor at Tallgrass Creek said. “It’s definitely moving fast since groundbreaking. We are pleased with the interest in the community,” McIntire says.
Keeping up with the demand for information requests about the community has taken a team effort. In 2006, Tallgrass Creek received over 7,200 such inquiries. “It has kept us moving,” McIntire said with a smile. “But we’ve been up to the challenge. It’s good to be busy.”
And the interest hasn’t slowed in the beginning part of 2007 either. McIntire says that seeing the community’s construction progress from the road continues to entice. “They can see the progress that we’re making from Metcalf,” she said. “So each day we’re accepting more reservations and adding names to our Priority List.”
The best option
Most impressive, is that the community reached the 65% sold-out milestone without offering any homes to the public. The homes were claimed by members of the community’s exclusive Priority List.
A $1,000 refundable deposit gives the Priority List member precedence based on the date the check was submitted. When the apartment style of their choice becomes available, a Priority List member is given the right of first refusal. If the apartment is reserved, the deposit is put directly toward the cost of the apartment home.
Now or later
“The race goes to the swift,” McIntire says, “Every day that someone waits to join, one or two people jump in line ahead of them. If people are considering Tallgrass Creek for this year, they should take a look at our free Information Kit and join the Priority List as soon as possible.”
McIntire explains, “Some apartment styles have wait times of several years. Joining is really your best option for getting the home you want.
