Cruising into a Life of Ease at New Community

THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE

Phil and Wanda Roselli are always on the go, whether they’re traveling to visit family or sailing off on an extended cruise. After a quick chat with them, its easy to see they have few intentions of slowing down, but are seeking an easier, more convenient lifestyle.

An Erickson Encounter
Searching the Internet, Wanda came upon the website for Erickson Retirement Communities (www.Erickson.com). Impressed by what she saw, Wanda requested more information and soon began to receive The Erickson Tribune. “Soon after I started receiving the newspaper, I saw that Erickson was planning to build in Overland Park and requested more information right away,” says Wanda.

Heading Home
The Rosellis have lived in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona— a move to the Kansas City area would be a homecoming of sorts. With a sister, brother-in-law, nieces, and nephews in Leawood and Overland Park—a move to Erickson’s newest community, Tallgrass Creek, seems like just the right fit.

Cruise Ship Convenience
Phil and Wanda have cruised all over the world and can’t wait to make Tallgrass Creek their home port. Phil Roselli says, “Tallgrass Creek will be like a cruise ship—everything is just a few steps away—the bank, a Medical Center, the convenience store, a Fitness Center, even the salon—we won’t have to go out for anything if we don’t want to!”

Wanda looks forward to taking advantage of the many amenities at Tallgrass Creek. She says, “I’m excited to have someone else cook dinner each day!”

The full-service, maintenance-free lifestyle at this new community sold Phil. He says, “If the roof leaks at the house or our spa breaks, we hustle around to find someone to fix it— with the advantages of Tallgrass Creek, I’ll just make a phone call and someone I know will be by to take care of it.” Wanda agrees, “That has great appeal!”

The Right Option
“We just visited Fox Run, an Erickson community in Novi, Mich. We talked to many people at dinner who had nothing but good things to say about living there and the staff who works there,” says Phil.

According to Wanda, “Tallgrass Creek will be great. Erickson has thought of everything! I researched this thoroughly. It’s a move we’re excited to make once it’s time!”

“Another great plus is that everything is connected by indoor walkways—so you don’t have to face the weather,” says Phil, who hopes to find a few chess opponents and golfing partners after settling in at Tallgrass Creek.

High Priority
Providing opportunities for older Kansans is an especially high priority in Johnson County. According to the 2004 Kansas Elder Count, five counties in the state have more than 10,000 residents over 65. Johnson County falls second among those with over 45,069 people of that age—approximately 10 percent of the county population.

Knowing this new community would be in high demand, the Roselli’s joined the Priority List at Tallgrass Creek in order to secure their future. They have the advantage over other qualified people who live within ten miles of Tallgrass Creek, as members of the Priority List. Phil and Wanda know that this new community offers the lifestyle they are looking for and will meet their needs. “The pricing is appropriate for us, and many others—and you even get your money back because of the 100% Refundable Entrance Deposit,” says Phil. Wanda adds, “Joining the Priority List means we’ll have a home at Tallgrass Creek— it’s an opportunity we look forward to!”
