Years Ago Regal Grasses Covered the Heartland

THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
To honor the history and beauty of the tallgrass prairie in Kansas, Erickson’s newest community bears the name Tallgrass Creek.
Paths leading north and west crisscrossed the open prairie as pioneers journeyed into the West and cowboys drove cattle to northern cities. The grassland impacted the lives of all who crossed it.
Farmers later cultivated crops in the rich soil of that fertile land, establishing the nation’s most successful farming area. This livelihood began a rich heritage and became a source of pride for generations to come.
A small preserved tributary of the Tomahawk River runs through the property emphasizing the natural simplicity that will characterize the community. The water is a life-giving necessity and will invoke a spirit of renewal at Tallgrass Creek.
Tallgrass Creek emphasizes the history of this prairie land and celebrates Erickson’s efforts to preserve the natural treasures of our nation.
