THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
In this final installment of a three-part interview with John Erickson, the Founder and CEO of Erickson Communities discusses the breakthrough health care system and lifesaving medical technology that help Erickson residents stay healthier longer than the average American.
Tribune: Earlier in this interview series you said that Erickson’s mission is to establish the best housing, health care, and lifestyle in America. We’ve already talked about the financial structure and the social opportunities at your communities—what are you doing in terms of health care?
Erickson: The core value of Erickson is not just to make a great place for you to live—we want to be the very best in delivering the quality of life that people deserve when they retire. And yes, that means establishing the very best health care.
There are a lot of reasons why we’re the best in that department. One, an Erickson community is a more engaging social environment than a house, and it keeps you stimulated. Two, you’re not shoveling snow and ice, raking leaves, climbing on ladders to clean out gutters, or anything like that. We do all that for you.
Most importantly, though, what makes us the best is Erickson HealthSM.
Tribune: On your most recent visit to Monarch Landing in November, you spoke very passionately about Erickson HealthSM. What is it exactly?
Erickson:The nation’s largest and most completely integrated health care and wellness system for older adults. Just by living at an Erickson community, you have access to a level of medical care and expertise that you just won’t find anywhere else.
Tribune: You say Erickson HealthSM is the best. What makes it so? What are the benefits?
