Speaking a mile a minute, Patrick McCloskey is every bit the busy man on campus. He is involved in the Welcoming Committee, walks 55 minutes a day, and handles movie production as coordinator of Seabrook’s 250-seat auditorium.
With minutes to spare for his interview, he explained why his Abbott studio was the best choice for him.
“I’m involved in a lot of things at Seabrook, so it’s hard to catch up with me,” he says. “Having a studio really suits my style because, for one thing, it takes me just a half hour to clean! I’m a real fussy guy and I like my place spotless.”
Patrick adds that he enjoys the T-shape layout of his Abbott apartment, which offers a good balance of space and style for him. He also likes the location of his studio in Beacons Landing since it is close by to both Clubhouses, and loves that he just a short drive from the Garden State Parkway.
“Location is very important for me. I was born and bred in New Jersey and lived down this way, in Toms River, since 1950. I know my way around and I checked out every place in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, but Seabrook offered the best location,” says Patrick.
When asked if he would recommend studio living to others, he said, “Yes!”
“I have a friend who is determined to get one of the biggest apartments here, but he’s going to have a two-year wait to get in, for one thing,” says Patrick. “The bottom line is that the studio is more affordable for most people. You get all of the benefits of Seabrook, while saving money for yourself.”
