Community wins two prestigious awards for high-quality landscaping

Just as painters create masterpieces with oil on canvas, Riderwood’s grounds staff create theirs with the flora and fauna of the landscape. Recently, the community received the annual Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Green Industry Contribution Award and the Landscape Contractors Association’s (LCA) Heritage Award.

Unique partnership saves $500K in four years

Each week, members of the Riderwood community spend over 100 hours helping U.S. military families overseas. Since 2004, these dedicated volunteers, in partnership with the Greenbelt, Md. American Legion Post 136, have collected and clipped approximately 500,000 coupons to support U.S. military families in Saudi Arabia and in three locations in Japan.
