Unique partnership saves $500K in four years

Each week, members of the Riderwood community spend over 100 hours  helping U.S. military families overseas. Since 2004, these dedicated volunteers, in partnership with the Greenbelt, Md. American Legion Post 136, have collected and clipped approximately 500,000 coupons to support U.S. military families in Saudi Arabia and in three locations in Japan.

Riderwood biographer depicts the life and lessons learned from one of America’s favorite Presidents

Renewing conversations surrounding President Abraham Lincoln’s life and character, the National Parks Service recently transferred the beloved President’s bloodstained clothes and other items from the Ford’s Theatre museum to a Park Service storage center in Maryland.
