Riderwood recently received the Distinguished Service in Public Education award from the Montgomery County Board of Education for giving $435,000 in scholarships to student employees in pursuit of a college education.

While it may be the dawn of a new year, for most areas of the country there are still three long months of winter remaining. The Energy Department’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates those three months may be very  expensive when it comes to home heating costs.
