Reaching out to older Americans throughout the Washington, D.C. region, Riderwood recently entered into a formal “content-sharing” partnership with W*USA 9News in Washington, D.C. This is exciting news, as it paves the way for ongoing contributions known as “District, Virginia, Maryland—Our- Time” (DVM OurTime).
The highlight of the new program will be the routine posting of information on W*USA’s new website www.DVMOurTime.com.
“I think this website is a great networking tool and a way for people in the greater community to learn more about the Erickson lifestyle,” says Riderwood community member Esko Hallila.
Membership has its benefits
People over the age of 50 who register to use the new www.DVMOurTime.com website will automatically become members of the DVM OurTime Club, enabling them to receive benefits on local dining, travel, entertainment, and other services.
Riderwood has agreed to contribute to the site by providing stories and details about the unique community as well as various advertising promotions and online banner campaigns.
“This new initiative will provide many benefits to people in the areas of travel, dining, entertainment, and more,” says Riderwood Executive Director Donna Mason. “We are also excited that Channel 9 is opening up this social network forum for Riderwood to share content with readers and viewers about our fabulous community.”
In preparation for the website’s official launch, J.C. Hayward, one of the top news people in D.C. broadcast journalism for over 30 years, visited the Riderwood community to share important details about this new webbased resource.
