The only way in is to join

Now that Riderwood is completely sold-out, joining the Priority List is the only way to reserve a future home, says Riderwood Retirement Counselor Sally Sager.

“It’s never too early to join the Priority List,” she says. “Whether you plan to move this year or sometime in the future, you’re ensuring that an apartment home is ready for you—when you are ready to make your move.”

Riderwood Priority List members pay a refundable $1,000 deposit and a onetime-only $150 processing fee to join the list and lock in a date.

Securing the future

“Being on the Priority List helped us get the apartment home we wanted,” says Stanley Bice, who moved to Riderwood with his wife Churalene in 2005. “We were on the list for three years. But that’s because we didn’t want to move right away. However, we wanted to make sure that the apartment we liked was available when we were ready.”

“The Priority List provides the peace of mind that comes with a happy and secure future,” Sager says. “Not only is the $1,000 deposit refundable, but if your apartment home becomes available before you are ready, you have no obligation to move at that time. In fact, you  will remain on the list until you are ready to make the move.”

Power of choice

Peggy Righter and her husband Don also planned ahead. “We spent almost five years on the Priority List and it was a wonderful decision,” Righter says.  “We’ve encouraged many of our friends to plan ahead too. You don’t know what will be available when you are ready to move, so it’s important to give yourself options.”

Let the fun begin

Both Bice and Righter admit that joining the Priority List provided them with  options when selecting their new apartment homes. And since moving, both find enjoyment in their new community.

“We’ve met some very nice people,” Bice says. “We like it here very much.”

“There’s so much to do and everyone is very nice,” Righter adds. “I’m so glad we moved.”
