It seems that everywhere you look these days, the cost of living is going up. A gallon of gas costs more than $4.00, the rising cost of food is causing sticker shock at the grocery store, and natural gas prices mean hefty utility bills for homeowners each month.

While the cost of just about everything is going up, Monarch Landing, an Erickson retirement community in Naperville, actually decided to lower the cost of its monthly service package. It will now cost residents less money to enjoy everything Monarch Landing has to offer.

Too good to be true?
The notion of something costing less than it did a year ago might seem too good to be true. That’s certainly what resident Virginia Markey and her husband John thought when they heard the good news. “We were delighted,” she says, “and we wondered how in the world they were able to manage that.”

But Sales Director Greg Mrumlinski is pleased to announce that the entire staff at Monarch Landing worked together to make it happen.

“Our community has experienced accelerated growth for the past nine months, and through economies of scale and prudent management, we were able to pass our savings along to our residents as part of our commitment to provide the best value in retirement living,” Mrumlinski says.

More money to fulfill your dreams
Mrumlinski says the new lower cost will enable current and future Monarch Landing residents to make the most of their hard-earned retirement dollars because they will have more money for the things they enjoy.

“It frees up funds and gives people more choices for discretionary spending or just to add to their own additional sense of security in their retirement years,” Mrumlinski says. “For 25 years we have worked to supply the best overall value in a retirement lifestyle. We felt that this adjustment at this time would allow more people to realize the dream of an Erickson lifestyle.”

That’s certainly the case for the Markeys, who are looking forward to spending the money they’ll be saving on the things they truly enjoy.
