THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE

It comes as no surprise to the people who live there, but for the third year in a row, Naperville was named one of the top ten places to live in the United States by Money Magazine.

Citing Naperville’s vibrant downtown area filled with shops and restaurants, the scenic two-mile Riverwalk, and the city’s proximity to Chicago, the magazine awarded Naperville the number three spot this year.

“I am so thrilled thatNaperville has made Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live” list yet again,” Naperville Mayor A. George Pradel says in a statement. “Being ranked the third best place to live in America is a big accomplishment. However, I’m not surprised. When I look around Naperville, I see a vibrant community spirit, the best residents in the country, and a quality of life that is third to none. Everyone in Naperville should be very proud of the place they call home.”

A great community in an award-winning city
Situated on 85 acres of landscaped grounds in Naperville, Monarch Landing offers residents the chance to live in one of the country’s best cities, while also enjoying all the benefits of a full-service retirement community. Living at Monarch Landing gives older adults access to amenities like a fitness and aquatics center, more than 50 clubs ranging from poker to line dancing, and social events like Friday afternoon happy hours and Nintendo Wii bowling tournaments—all just a short indoor walk from their own comfortable and spacious apartment homes.

And everything Naperville has to offer is right outside their doorsteps. With 15  museums, 36 movie theaters, almost 300 golf courses, and more than 4,000 restaurants, it’s never hard to find a way to spend your leisure time in Naperville!

So much to love
Monarch Landing resident Ginny Moore has been living in Naperville for more than 40 years. So when she decided to move to a retirement community, Monarch Landing seemed like a natural choice. Now that she lives at Monarch Landing, Moore can enjoy the benefits of the community without giving up all of the things she enjoys about her hometown.

“I love the band concerts and the Riverwalk,” Moore says of the entertainment in Naperville. “And I really love my friends,” she says of her neighbors at Monarch Landing.
