THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
An overwhelming number of people turned out to celebrate the muchanticipated Grand Opening of Monarch Landing in Naperville.
The distinguished guest list included Mr. John Erickson, founder of Erickson Communities.
Mr. Erickson traveled 726 miles all the way from his home in Maryland to welcome the pioneer residents.
Mr. Erickson shared some of the wisdom he has gleaned from spending so much time with people who live at Erickson communities like Monarch Landing. “There are two universal comments I hear from residents,” he said. “‘I didn’t do it soon enough’ and ‘It’s better than I ever could have imagined.’”
After his remarks, pioneers cut the ribbon to declare the Naperville community officially open and invited everyone inside for their very first look at the completed Promenade Clubhouse and apartment homes.
The First Tour
With the help of The Naperville Cultural Center, a not-for-profit organization which promotes peace through an understanding of world cultures, Monarch Landing transformed the enormous Promenade Clubhouse into an international showcase.
Each area of interest represented a different country, complete with stunning decorations, regional food, and entertainment. Guests were treated to the sounds of a steel drum band as they toured the tropical-themed Aquatics Center with a swimming pool and hot tub. Irish dancers performed on the patio, while guests raised a pint and practiced a game of pool in the Billiards Room turned English Pub.
‘A World of New Experiences’
“The theme of the Grand Opening, ‘Explore the World Around You’, is particularly fitting,” said Monarch Landing’s Sales and Marketing Director Joe Zukauskas. “Not only does it honor the adventurous spirits of our pioneer residents, but the theme also represents the world of new experiences Monarch Landing offers.”
