Retirement Counselor Cautions ‘We’re On Pace to Sell Out before We Open’

The countdown has begun! In just three months, Monarch Landing celebrates its Grand Opening.

Already, the Naperville community is on pace to sell out before it opens.

While this is great news for the nearly 200 people who have already chosen Monarch Landing, it could spell trouble for those who wait too long to reserve.

The Excitement Is Building

As Monarch Landing approaches its Grand Opening this summer, excitement has been building among those who have already reserved their spot.

“I can hardly wait,” says Mary from St. Charles. After looking at several other communities, Mary and her husband decided that Monarch Landing was the better value.

“The 100% Refundable Entrance Deposit really clinched it for us,” says Mary.

“We get a guaranteed 100 percent refund for our children or for us if we ever decide to move, though I can’t imagine we would ever do that.”

Apartment Designs Becoming Scarce

Henny from Glen Ellyn is glad she didn’t wait to select her new apartment home.

“I’m a procrastinator,” Henny admits, “but there are so many incentives to reserve now. The reserved parking spot in the indoor garage is free for life, and so is the Fitness Center. I figure I’ll save about $40 a month now. I want in on that!”

Now, the apartment design Henny chose is nearly sold out.

Monarch Landing Retirement Counselor Constance Barber worries that people who do procrastinate will miss out on their first-choice apartment home design.

“A lot of people think they can wait until after our Grand Opening to reserve and still get their first-choice design. I wish that were true, but at the rate we’ve been taking reservations, your favorite design may be gone by the time we open.”

“We are able to offer these prices now, but unfortunately they’re not going to be around forever,” says Constance. “Historically, the cost of the entrance deposit has gone up every year at every Erickson campus since  1983. I can almost guarantee that prices will go up at Monarch Landing.”

By getting in now, before this increase, you can save yourself up to $15,000 on the cost of your entrance deposit.

Monarch Landing is selling quickly. Many apartment homes have already sold out, while others are going fast. According to Constance, waiting could cost you your first choice apartment home—and more money.

“I fully expect all of the apartment homes that Monarch Landing currently has available to sell out before our Grand Opening this summer. That said, I can’t emphasize how important it is that you get in now to secure your favorite apartment home at pre-opening prices.”

These pre-opening prices motivated Elaine from Roselle to reserve now rather than later.

“When I heard about the thousands of dollars that I could save with pre-opening prices—that was very appealing. I could not resist that.”

Rosemary of Indian Head Park feels similarly. She wants to move now and start enjoying all of the amenities Monarch Landing has to offer. She wants to get in before prices go up.

“I want to move now,” says Rosemary. “I don’t want to wait five years and have to make a decision I don’t want to make—or pay more. The cost is going to go up every year.”

The Smartest Time to Reserve

Chicagoland residents are reserving at Monarch Landing now in order to secure their first-choice apartment homes at preopening prices. In addition, everyone who moves in 2006 will receive a free membership to the Fitness Center for life. The first 125 people to move in 2006 will get a free reserved parking spot in Monarch Landing’s convenient indoor parking facility.

“Now is definitely the smart time to reserve,” says Constance. “As we gear up for our Grand Opening this summer, reservations keep climbing and apartment home designs are becoming more and more scarce.”

Within the 25-mile radius around Monarch Landing there are an estimated 117,000 people over the age of 65. In the past three months alone, 3,500people have requested information from Monarch Landing.

“Don’t wait and risk missing your opportunity,” says Constance.
