Easy and risk-free way to avoid a multiple-year wait

THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
Maris Grove is close to being sold out.
But there are a number of people who want to live there and aren’t concerned about the growing demand. Instead, they enjoy exclusive invitations to activities like luncheons, roundtable discussions, and gala events.
So why the relaxed attitude? They are members of the community’s Priority List. And they know their spot in line is secure.
“With the level of interest in Maris Grove, the Priority List is your best option to get the style of home you want,” says Pam Matschat, retirement counselor at Maris Grove.
Special events are just the icing on the cake for this group. It’s their priority position that is of greatest value. Unlike the general public, Priority List members have an inside track to living at Maris Grove.
How it works
Priority List members get the first choice of any apartment home that becomes available based on the date they joined the list. And when you consider Maris Grove is almost 100% reserved, it can mean the difference between living at Maris Grove, or another, less-appealing alternative.
The date they join the Priority List is their “priority date.” From that point forward, they will always have priority over the people who join the list after them.
“It’s important to join quickly because every day someone waits, two or three people jump in line ahead on them,” Matschat says.
Avoiding the rush
Some members may not plan to move to Maris Grove for several years, but when they do decide to move, they will be at the “head of the line” to get the apartment they want. That is very important because many apartment designs could see multiple-year wait times.
