THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
Since Maris Grove’s Grand Opening in October, Gayle Chissus, Custom Interiors coordinator at Delaware County’s most popular new community, has been “happily busy.”
“This is an exciting time for everyone,” says Gayle. “I’ve been extra busy helping people customize their homes. And for people who are just beginning to consider Maris Grove, we have some unbelievable model homes they can tour right now, by appointment.”
With more than 20 floor plan designs available, Gayle and her team realize that looking at blueprints or drawings doesn’t always do the trick. So they’ve partnered with local furniture company, Raymour & Flanagan, to help design four model homes.
“Raymour & Flanagan mirror the enthusiastic personality and taste of the people who are moving to Maris Grove,” Gayle says.
“We chose them because they are local and offer traditional styling with a contemporary twist. They offer everything from traditional and 18th century to contemporary styling. Plus Raymour & Flanagan offers a minimum 10% discount for people who live at Maris Grove. They have everything, including furniture and accessories for living rooms, bedrooms, entertainment, and plenty of accents.”

After people move into their new homes, they can meet with Gayle to customize their homes any way they want.
“The first thing I usually help people with is window treatments. What kind of curtains do they want, and if they prefer crown molding like cornice boards or other possibilities.”
Gayle says that custom woodworking, or what she likes to call “built-ins” is another popular choice.
“I can help design an extra bookcase, shelves, or help them make better use of their closet space with extra shelves, jewelry boards, tie racks, you name it,” she says.
