THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
Who says you have to wait forever to enjoy the fruits of retirement? Certainly not Charles and Maryanne Lessley.Maryanne and Charles didn’t take long to start enjoying the good life.
“We decided that Maris Grove was the perfect fit,” says Maryanne. “So we got on the Priority List early and reserved a home right away. We’re so looking forward to this fall. We’re practically counting the days.”
“For me it was, ‘How do you want to spend your free time?’” says Charles. “Raking leaves, shoveling snow? We’ve got a lot of leaves. Thanks to Maris Grove I think I’ve raked my last one!”
To say that Maris Grove is a convenient location for the Lessleys is like asking Philly fans if they like the Eagles. “We live right here in Delaware County,” says Maryanne, “it’s close to everything we know and love.”
Maryanne still works part-time “for fun” for an interior decorator. “It’s great to spend a few hours a day doing something you really enjoy. The great thing is when we move to Maris Grove, I’ll be closer to work and my lifestyle will only change for the better.”
Interior Motives
Maryanne’s love for interior decorating came in handy recently when she and Charles picked out carpet, cabinets, countertops, flooring, and more for their new home—a lovely, twobedroom, one-and-a-half bath Hastings.
“We’re in Newlin Pointe,” she says. “We have a terrific ground floor home with a patio. And the interior, well, in our cur rent home everything is dark: dark cabinets, floors, everything. So, at our new home in Maris Grove we went with light, bright, and white! Mary Wright, Maris Grove’s new move-in coordinator, helped us pick out the designs that matched our preferences. Everything will be light and airy. I can’t wait.
All our lives we’ve never had a brand new home—until now. This will be our first!”
