Professional musicians from the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra (ASO) come to the performing arts center at Linden Ponds every month to host the symphony’s adult education series, Insights. The program consists of 45 minutes of music/commentary and 15 minutes of Q & A.

A successful partnership
“Our musicians are very, very passionate about their music—they love to share it with other people— and we know that our audiences always want to learn more,” says ASO Managing Director Nina Wellford.

“We knew that [at Linden Ponds] they were a very active group of adults,” she adds. “It was a partnership that just made sense all around.”

Get classical
The 2008 program is entitled “The Major Components of Classical Music.” Tickets are $10 per event or $50 for the series of six; they are available at Linden Ponds or through the ASO.

Coming events:

February 18: “History and the Role of the Piano” with viola accompaniment

March 17: “Opera and Voice” with Steve Ledbetter and two vocalists

Concerts are at 3:00 p.m.
