Construction update on the new Derby Clubhouse

THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
There is a lot to be excited about when the doors open at Linden Ponds’ new Derby Clubhouse. And the people who live and work at Linden Ponds can already feel the excitement in the air.
More amenities
"I can’t tell who is more excited about the new clubhouse opening, the staff or the people who live here," says Linda Hill, Linden Ponds’ retirement counselor. "As the days get closer there is definitely more of a buzz around campus."
The buzz is because the Derby Clubhouse, which is the second world-class clubhouse on the campus, will effectively double Linden Ponds’ already long list of amenities and services. And people like Beverly Stewart know that.
‘Wonderful place’
"This is a wonderful place to live. I moved from another retirement community to come here. Linden Ponds sounded too good to be true. And now with the new clubhouse opening we’ll have a lot more room, more space to do our crafts, and a new performing arts theatre," says Beverly. "I’m also looking forward to dining in the new restaurants, too."
The new Derby Clubhouse will include a state-of-the-art TV studio, a new exhibition-style restaurant and bistro-style pub, a 300-seat performing arts theatre, and a marketplace and pharmacy.
Finishing touches
The crews at Linden Ponds are putting the finishing touches on this magnificent clubhouse. Paint is on the walls and the plush new carpeting is being rolled out.
"We are closing in on our March grand opening. Representatives from all groups within our company continue to descend upon our campus to aid in the start-up of this new venue. The majority of the finishes have been completed and the tastefully selected Arts and Crafts style elements are nicely melding together into a cohesive whole," says Erik Van Aarem, direct of development at Linden Ponds.
