ERICKSON TRIBUNE
The modest event that began in 1993 as an annual celebration of the wildflowers that bloom throughout the city of Richardson has blossomed into a major Metroplex attraction that has earned “Best of Fest” honors from D Magazine.
The Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival ’05 will feature concert-style entertainment, a variety of street performing acrobats and mimes, the Kidz Korner family area, an open air arts and crafts market, displays, exhibits, a petting zoo, and even performances of the Broadway musical GREASE!.
Musical Headliners
The line-up of stars performing at this year’s fest covers every musical genre and taste: Pure Prairie League, Leon Russell, Joe Ely, Cheap Trick, and The Neville Brothers are just a few of the headliners scheduled to perform.
A Taste of Texas
From kielbasa to kolaches, barbecue to bolillos, the finest regional cuisine will be served up by a variety of vendors in the Taste of Texas Food Court.
Kidz Korner
Kids of all ages enjoy this fun and colorful collection of games, activities and entertainment geared for the younger set.
Budding Talent
In addition to the variety of professional performers, a vocal competition for Richardson’s school-age children will put the stars of the future on stage.
