Forecasting Higher Construction Costs

Reservations Rise in Rush to Take Advantage of Pre-Opening Pricing

Forecasting the cost of construction materials is always a challenge, but two recent uninvited Texas visitors—namely Katrina and Rita—have thrown a monkey wrench in the works, causing a surge in the demand for many building necessities, which will inevitably result in higher construction costs.

Even with the national buying power of Erickson, the bottom line is that future projects will cost more than those already  underway.

With an estimated $25 billion in recent hurricane damage, the cost of building supplies—from steel to plywood to wallboard to windows and roofing—will surely rise. And prices of new construction must reflect that increase.

Still Honoring Pre- Opening Prices

“There may never be a better time to schedule a visit, and get on the Priority List here at Highland Springs,” said Christina Christie, Retirement Counselor.

“Our pre-opening prices are in effect now, but not for much longer. I recommend that everyone make it a point to just stop by, and see if there’s an interest,” Christie continues. “If not, fine. But if you do decide on Highland Springs, you’ll be glad you started the process earlier rather than later.”

It Starts with the Kit
