When was the last time you moved to a new home and had your moving expenses paid for? Probably never.

That’s because Erickson Realty & Moving Services, a program exclusive to Erickson communities like Henry Ford Village, in Dearborn, is breaking ground with programs like Move on Us, which reimburses people up to $2,000 for approved moving expenses.

Moving, simplified
The mission of Erickson Realty & Moving Services, a year-old service, is to simplify every aspect of the moving process, from selling your house to moving into your new home. A personal moving consultant performs hands-on consultative home visits and provides a network of trusted resources such as stagers, real estate professionals, and movers.

Move on Us is their newest initiative. People moving to Henry Ford Village who use Erickson Realty & Moving Services to help sell their property and one of Henry Ford Village’s preferred real estate professionals are eligible for the reimbursement.

The program is designed to alleviate the major costs and worries of moving, so people can focus on the fun and freedom waiting for them at Henry Ford Village.

"I think it’s a great added benefit, especially in light of the economy, and it will be appreciated by those moving in," says Adam Sterling, director of sales and marketing. "It just makes things a whole lot easier."

Personal moving expertise
Currently, Henry Ford Village offers three experienced Retirement Counselors—David Leslie, Nicole Nation, and Doreen Forbes, who also serve as personal moving consultants for people in the process of moving to the community. All three are qualified to assist people with any needs they may have, including taking advantage of the Move on Us program.
