Find the right extended care now

THE ERICKSON TRIBUNE
Renaissance Gardens is the extended care neighborhood you find in many Erickson communities, including Greenspring. Joe Booker says calling it a care center fits, considering its top notch care.
Easy transitions
“My wife, Mary Jane, couldn’t have received better care anywhere. Moving from the hospital after her surgery to Renaissance Gardens couldn’t have been easier,” he says.
“Mary Jane had one Erickson HealthSM physician at the hospital and then another once she got to Renaissance Gardens. Each physician had access to her complete medical history,” says Joe. (They used Centricity, an electronic medical records system used by all Erickson Health doctors.) “So there was never any question about her medications, allergies, and so on. That’s a blessing, since you tend to be a little befuddled when recovering,” he says.
Making recovery easy
Once at Renaissance Gardens, private rooms and licensed nurses on duty 24/7 are additional aids toward easy recovery. “The nurses got Mary Jane up and walking as soon as recommended. They even had a great band playing the kind of music we like,” says Joe.
Mary Jane only needed a week in rehabilitation before she moved back to their on-campus apartment home, but a week can be a long time to be apart. The fact that Renaissance Gardens at Greenspring is part of the main Greenspring community helped them both.
“I walked over every day; never had to worry about parking a car. Lots of friends visited from the main campus. She was never alone,” says Joe.
