Renaissance Gardens at Greenspring People often ask about the services we offer at Renaissance Gardens. Here are some of the most common questions about Short-Term Rehabilitation.

Q. Can I choose where to go for my rehabilitation, or do I have to go where the hospital tells me?

A. You can receive Short-Term Rehabilitation wherever you like. If you’re not a resident of Greenspring, you can receive Short-Term Rehabilitation here on an inpatient basis and either return home on completion or use our other services, such as Assisted Living, as appropriate. If you are already a resident of Greenspring, you can get Short-Term Rehabilitation here on an inpatient or outpatient basis.

Q. When she had rehabilitation at another place, my friend had to share a room. What about at Renaissance Gardens?

A. At Renaissance Gardens we have only private rooms. So you can choose to have as much privacy, or as much contact with others, as you want. Visitors are welcome at all times 24 hours a day.

Q. What happens when my mother completes her rehabilitation? Can she return to her independent living apartment on campus?

A. If your mother’s health has improved sufficiently on completion of Short-Term Rehabilitation, she can certainly return to her independent living apartment. If she still needs some help, she may move to one of our Renaissance Gardens Assisted Living apartments, or if she needs further care, she may move to one of our Renaissance Gardens Long- Term Nursing Care private rooms.

Q. I’ve heard that if I’m not a resident at Greenspring, I can’t come to Renaissance Gardens at Greenspring for Short-Term Rehabilitation. Is that true?

A. No. We welcome people from everywhere. We even get people from out of state who want to be near their families.
